Our award winners Congratulations to our 17 award winners who interpreted the theme of 2020 Vision. In addition to a 1st, 2nd and 3rd YAO prize winner in each of the four age categories we are extremely privileged that the Ruskin School of Art have also awarded four prizes. New in 2020, The Royal Drawing School have selected a winning picture in the Year 7 to Year 9 category. They also selected 3 highly commended and 3 commended pictures. Thank you to all our brilliant judges for their hard work and for sharing their comments to explain why the winning artwork stood out for them.
What do the stars and HC or C on the name labels mean? On some name labels under pictures there is an HC or C and either one or two gold stars. These mean that the pictures were selected as Highly Commended (HC; two stars) or Commended (C; one star) by the judges. The judges give these awards when they feel the picture has a 'little extra something' which made them stand out. When will I get my picture back? Every exhibitor will have their picture returned via their school as soon as it is possible to do so. I am also delighted to announce that all exhibitors will receive a certificate, a programme and a special keepsake donated by our sponsor Sporn Construction. Prize winners will receive a trophy (donated by Sporn Construction) and goody bag. The winners of the Ruskin School of Art and Royal Drawing School awards receive prizes donated by the Ruskin School of Art and Royal Drawing School respectively.
