OUR 2023 JUDGES

KORKY PAUL
Korky Paul was born in Zimbabwe and studied Fine Arts and Film Animation.
Among his many picture books is the multi-million selling Winnie the Witch series.
He is a patron of The Art Room, Pegasus Theatre, ARCh, Reading Quest and The Stratford Literary Festival. He lives and works in Oxford.
He is one of the two permanent judges for Young Art Oxford and has been on board since its inception in 2008.

DR SARAH SIMBLET
Dr Sarah Simblet is a fine artist and Professor of drawing at The Ruskin Art School in Oxford. She has written and illustrated four major art reference books including her latest The New Sylva. She exhibits widely and has work in many collections including The Ashmolean and Royal Academy.
Sarah has been one of the permanent judges for Young Art Oxford since it started.

MINI GREY
Mini Grey is an Oxford-based illustrator and writer of childrens’ books. Her book The Adventures of the Dish and the Spoon was awarded the Kate Greenaway Medal.
Mini’s latest work, The Greatest Show on Earth, is a non-fiction book that gives children a whistle-stop tour from of earth’s history from birth of Earth, to the age of bacteria, the era of dinosaurs . . . to the moment of people (blink and you’ll miss it). Narrated by a friendly troop of insects and with mind-blowing, lively illustrations from Mini, it has been featured as The Times Children’s book of the week.
Mini is an adamant supporter of childrens' art and the role art education can play in their lives.

ANDREW HUDSON
Andrew is director and founder of Hudson Architecture Studio Ltd. and has worked in Oxford for the past 15 years, delivering high quality residential projects.
His ethos revolves around challenging the design brief and getting right to the heart of his clients' needs to create innovative solutions.
Andrew studied architecture at the University of Dundee, Oxford Brookes and Kingston University and has 5 creative young children of his own.
